EGO Power+ SNT2125AP 21-Inch Auger-Propelled (2× 7.5Ah) Review

EGO's flagship single-stage: auger-propelled, Peak Power dual-battery drive, and two 7.5Ah packs that clear a real driveway, not just a sidewalk.

EGO Power+ SNT2125AP 21-Inch Auger-Propelled (2× 7.5Ah)

The verdict

The SNT2125AP is the battery single-stage that finally behaves like a gas one. Two 56V 7.5Ah batteries feeding EGO's Peak Power system give it the torque to throw wet snow 30-plus feet, the auger-propelled drive pulls it forward so you steer rather than push, and the ~840 Wh on board clears a two-car driveway of 8–10 inches with margin. It costs what a good gas two-stage does — but starts with a button at -10°F and never needs a carburetor.

Typical price: ~$1,199 (typical street price — current price shown on Amazon)

What we like

  • +Peak Power draws from both batteries at once — real wet-snow torque
  • +Auger-propelled: the machine pulls itself, you steer
  • +Two 7.5Ah packs (~840 Wh) — among the most runtime in any kit
  • +Variable-speed auger control and bright LED headlights
  • +Batteries run EGO's mower, blower, and trimmer line in summer

What to know

  • Premium price — overlaps with 24-inch gas two-stage machines
  • Single-stage: paved surfaces only, ~13-inch intake
  • Runtime drops in deep cold; keep batteries indoors until use
  • Heavy for a single-stage with both packs installed

Full review

Battery single-stage snow blowers used to be sidewalk tools. The SNT2125AP is the machine that changed the conversation: with both 7.5Ah packs installed, it has roughly 840 watt-hours on board and EGO's Peak Power system pulls from both at once, so there's no soft start when you hit the wet stuff — the auger spins up and throws. In practice that's a 21-inch path through 8–10 inches of typical snow at a normal walking pace, with the snow landing 25–35 feet away depending on how heavy it is.

The auger-propelled drive is the feature that makes it feel like a real machine. A standard single-stage 'self-propels' by the auger dragging on the pavement; EGO's version makes that intentional and controllable with a variable-speed auger dial, so the blower pulls itself along and you mostly steer. Combined with LED headlights, a chute you aim from the handle, and a push-button start that works at any temperature your hands can stand, it's simply a more pleasant 20 minutes than any gas single-stage offers.

The price is the objection, and it's a fair one — $1,200 buys a good 24-inch gas two-stage. But that comparison misses who this is for: paved-driveway owners who already have EGO batteries or want to, who value silence and no maintenance, and whose storms are usually under a foot. For them, the SNT2125AP is the best single-stage snow blower made. If you need gravel or 18-inch storms, look at EGO's SNT2800 two-stage instead.

Best for: Paved two-car driveways in moderate-to-heavy snow for owners who want gas-class performance with zero engine maintenance.
