Champion built its name on generators that deliver more output per dollar than the premium brands, and the snow blower line follows the same playbook: a big engine, a wide housing, electric start, and a price that lands well under the dealer brands' equivalents. At 301cc, this machine's engine is nearly 50 percent larger than the 208–212cc units in most 24-inch blowers — and in heavy, wet snow, that's the single spec that decides whether you keep walking or keep stopping.

The 27-inch path is the second reason to buy it. On a three-car-wide driveway it's roughly a third fewer passes than a 24; on a long rural drive it's the difference between 40 minutes and an hour. The impeller is sized to match, so snow goes 35–40 feet in the dry stuff and still clears the far bank in slush. Electric start is the 120V plug-in type: run an extension cord from the garage, press the button, and unplug. Multiple forward speeds let you creep through the plow ridge and stride through the open driveway.

Be realistic about size. A 250-pound, 27-inch machine needs garage space and someone who can lean into it on turns — there's no trigger steering at this price — and for a typical two-car suburban driveway with foot-deep storms it's more than you need; the Husqvarna ST 124 or the YARDMAX does that job for less. If your winters are measured in feet rather than inches, the Champion is the one that won't leave you stuck halfway down the driveway.
