Our verdict

A pusher versus a shovel — they do different jobs. The Snowplow moves light snow to the edge of a driveway in a few passes without any lifting; the Suncast lifts and tosses the piles, the steps, and the deep stuff. For the dozen small storms a winter, the pusher is faster and easier on your back. For the big one, you need the shovel. Get both.

Pick the The Snowplow if…

  • 2–5 in storms on a paved driveway
  • Decks and pavers you don't want scratched
  • You want to stop lifting snow

Pick the Suncast if…

  • Steps, piles, and deep snow
  • One tool for every job
  • Tight spaces where 36 in won't fit
